Portfolio: Bay Area Ultimate
Overview
A local Ultimate Frisbee Organization called Bay Area Ultimate requested a quick design that could allow them to post information regarding a league they were planning to start that would last during the winter months. The website needed to offer users all of the league information as well as provide them with a signup sheet that included their contact information and a break down of their skill level so they could be placed on a team accordingly. I was given free reign to design as I liked (my favorite type of project) but the work needed to be completed in a short time span.
Technical Aspect
In order to keep things organized the work was centered. With the theme being "Winter Fun" I decided to frame the content with frost and surround it with a sharp blue. The typeface used for the Winter League logo at the top blends well with the winter theme as it has an "old time" feeling to it that meshed with the traditions of the holidays. The fun colors bordering the dashed lines of the titles and flowing typefaces for the headers made it even more interesting to design. Unfortunately, due to time restraints, there was no chance to add photos of Ultimate Frisbee or the like. Because of the forms involved I used a combination of CSS, XHTML, and PHP to code the project. Photoshop was used to design the layout.
